development of the 3rd generation GRT
During the development of the 3rd generation 2getthere GRT vehicles, a workhorse and several prototypes were made, tested and demonstrated, before replacing the 2nd generation GRT system at Rivum. Future plans are to extend the route in mixed traffic and extend capacity.
As Vehicle control software architect I was responsible for the development of the onboard navigation and guidance. This involved system architecture and design, subsystem selection, software implementation, testing and verification. A major part of the work was a system split between nominal control functionality and safety functionality implemented on a high integrity safety control system for which the software was developed in-house. During the development I was involved in functional safety aspects in line with ISO26262: safety analysis, FMEAs, design, implementation and verification of safety concepts, etc.
