PSA navigation system
The Port of Singapore Authority started a development project with the goal to eventually move the container terminals to less crowded areas of the peninsula. For this, the whole container operation was reconsidered resulting in a request for developing an onboard navigation system that works with multiple vehicle suppliers.
We were selected to develop the navigation system including the design of the interfacing to an underlying vehicle system provided by two different suppliers and integrate and verify the functionality on multiple vehicles.
As Solution Manager, Navigation Systems I was responsible for the development of the navigation system and guidance of these machines: from preliminary technical meetings, system design, subsystem selection, software implementation, on-site testing and verification and documentation.
The Navigation system turned out to be so user friendly that the client was able to integrate it to even more vehicle suppliers without needing additional support.
